The apartment is on the first floor with an en-suite double bedroom (with king size bed), and a twin room. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobe space.
There is also a very well equipped kitchen with double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and washer/dryer.
The living area has a large and comfortable corner sofa and a flatscreen Smart TV with Freeview, DVD player and access to catch-up TV via the free wifi - perfect for relaxing after a day's exploring. The living area also has a dining table which can comfortably seat four.
The main bathroom has a bath with shower and heated towel rail.
Heating in the apartment is by way of controllable air source heater in the living area, and panel heaters in each of the bedrooms.
All bedding, towels, electricity and wifi are provided free of charge. An iron and ironing board are also provided, and a high chair and travel cot can be made available on request. Please note that cot bedding will not be provided.

Arriving at the Pentland Ferries terminal in St. Margaret's Hope
When leaving the ferry terminal follow the signs for Kirkwall. This road will take you out of St. Margaret's Hope and across the four Churchill Barriers onto the Mainland. When you reach Kirkwall, keep following the road which will bend to the left down the Holm Branch - A963. Continue for a mile down the hill, along past the Balfour Hospital on your left and straight across the small roundabout. Take the side road immediately after you pass the Chinese restaurant and before the walled car park.
Arriving at the Northlink Ferries terminal in Stromness
On leaving the ferry terminal take a right following the signs to Kirkwall. Keep following the same road until you reach a roundabout with a petrol station, where you take a right onto Pickaquoy Road. Follow the road to the end and take a left at the roundabout onto Junction Road. You will see a Chinese resturant on your right hand side immediately after the roundabout - Flat 4 is located down the side street on the right directly after you pass the restaurant.

Arriving at Kirkwall Airport
Turn right out of airport carpark following sign to Kirkwall. Once you reach the town keep following the same road. You will continue onto Broad Street passing St Magnus Cathedral on your right. Take a left at the end of Broad Street onto West Castle Street then another left onto Junction Road. Continue along Junction Road and Flat 4 can be found by taking the side street on your left, directly before the Chinese Restaurant.
Flat 4 has its own free designated parking space.
The apartment is basically in the middle of Kirwall. Along Junction Road you will find the town library, travel and tourist information, all within a five minute walk from the flat. The main town centre is also a very short walk from the flat, where you will find a waide range of shops, cafes and bars.
Supermarkets are a five minute stroll from the apartment and the local leisure centre is well within walking distance. Here you can enjoy a range of fitness activities, swimming pool and cinema.
Kirkwall pier is a 10 miniute walk away and from here you can board a ferry to explore the North Isles.
St Magnus Cathedral is just around the corner from the flat, and you can also explore Orkney's history by visiting the Orkney Museum and the Earl and Bishop's palaces.

Thank you for having us. The apartment is beautiful and a great base in Kirkwall. Great to have parking and made exploring the mainland easy. If we are ever back this way again, we'd be more than happy to stay again.
